Star Press in the News...
Star Shines on a Bigger Stage - Star Press of Pearl River, N.Y.—a Rockland County firm that debuted in 1927 and remained in the same location for eight decades—got a new address in mid-September. The company, which has been in the Nicolich family for almost 50 years, is now at 614 Clarkston Executive Park, Valley Cottage, N.Y. Its departure from 45 South Main St. in Pearl River, the only home it had ever known, may have deprived that town of one of its oldest fixtures, but, according to owners Merino Nicolich, 42, and Eugene (Nick) Nicolich, 40, it is merely one more step along a path of "conservative but constant growth."
All in the Family
Merino, president, and Nick, vice president, are equal partners, and have been in charge at Star Press since 1997, when their father, Merino Sr., sold the company to them. Today, at 75, the patriarch still comes in from time to time.
